Q. Is the Thermofocus Thermometer safe to use?

A. The Thermofocus thermometer uses a safe, infrared technology which is completely harmless. Even if you accidentally point the infrared beams into the childs eyes there is no need to worry as it will not cause any damage or harm at all.

Q. How does the Thermofocus Thermometer work?

A. The Thermofocus’ no touch technology allows you to take the temperature without touching the child at all. Simply place the thermometer near the childs head, at the distance provided in the instructions and wait for the device to give you the temperature reading. The thermometer uses the bodies infrared emissions to get an accurate reading of the temperature.

Q. Why use the forehead for taking the temperature?

A. The forehead makes the ideal area to take the bodies temperature due to it being the closest part of the body to the brain that isn’t covered in hair. When you are ill, the forehead is also usually the first part of your body to change temperature, either increasing, or decreasing.

Q. Is the Thermofocus accurate?

A. Ther Thermofocus thermometer has been deemed to be as accurate as a traditional rectal or ear thermometer.

Q. Who is the Thermofocus for?

A. The Thermofocus thermometer can be used by everyone, regardenless of age. It has been used by, and is recommended by doctors and pediatricians all over the world.

Q. Why use Thermofocus for infants?

A. Unlike traditional thermometers, the Thermofocus is non-contact. There is no need to wake your baby, or touch any part of the baby.

Q. How quick is the Thermofocus?

A. The Thermofocus thermometer takes 125 readings, one every one hundredth of a second. The microprocessor then uses these values to calculate and display the correct tempterature. So you see your result in about a second!

Q. What else can I take the temperature of?

A. You can also use the Themofocus to measure the temperature of other items such as baby milk, baby food, a room or even bath water.

Q. Can I take my own temperature?

A. You can take your own temperature by simply looking in the mirror to make sure the thermofocus is aligned properly.

Q. How is the Thermofocus powered?

A. The thermometer uses 4 x AAA batteries, which under normal use would normally last about 10,000 uses (hopefully you wouldnt need to use it this much!).
